The Woodland Trust
Last year, the Woodland Trust’s Dorset team approached us with a vision they wanted to make a reality. The brief was to find a visual way that they can use to promote their tree planting programmes in the area when they are marketing themselves on the streets and at events.
Our idea for them was a VR experience, where you could see the before, during and after process of tree planting, during the video an audio plays for the user explaining the benefits of Trees and the importance of replacing those that have been cut down in deforestation.
We are now working with them to make a mini series showing the development of the trees since one of their plantings. Each VR is a mini video where the user walks through a forest area. The first is when the trees are small saplings just starting to grow. The second is when the trees have began to grow more, and wildlife is starting to turn it into a habitat. Finally the last one is when the trees have grown tall and mighty and make a shadowing canopy over the user.
